Let's say that there is someone, a friend - yeah that's it - a friend, who has some Eagles albums among his very favourite albums, but is not particularly knowledgeable, what should they really know about the Eagles?

What things? Associated artists? Obscure unreleased tracks? Important interviews? Random facts? What should Eagles fans know?

The first thing to know is who was in the band for which album, maybe with a few pointers like:
- if you hear a banjo, it's probably Bernie Leadon who left after One of These Nights.
- the high keening vocal on the first five albums is Randy Meisner who left after Hotel California.
- Don Henley sings Hotel California, Glenn Frey sings Lyin' Eyes, Randy Meisner sings Take It To The Limit, Timothy B Schmit sings I Can't Tell you Why and that should give them a good start in recognising the voices.

Solo albums not so well known - being sorted out.

Associated bands, some are known e.g. Shiloh. Bands like Poco, that's much less well known. No idea where to start.

Didn't Bernie record or perform a song called Georgia Peaches around '74 or '75? I think that there was 2 songs performed in concerts around that time that never made onto an album.

I think that even casual fans should know who sang what, at least with the hits. I used to think that Don Henley sang every song, lol.
