Now, I don't know if the Doolin-Dalton/Desperado Reprise is my favorite bit of music ever, but I do dearly love it and have a very similar reaction every time I experience it live.

I thought of you when I read it, Dreamer! I like it a lot, too. I can't say it affected me that way the first time I heard it, more like the second time I heard them play it live. If for no other reason, their performance of this song demands a DVD to put be out, with a CD alongside it. It's far better than the original recording and if I ever met any of them, I would beg myself breathless for a recording of this song.
