I agree, Fp. I prefer to remember him in his younger days when he was so gorgeous.

I guess the jumpsuit is a more recognizable image to caricature. Back in the Elvis days, Elvis dressed pretty normally, and Elvis impersonators probably feel like they should do more than put on jeans and a button-down shirt!

I do wish more would imitate the all-leather outfit from the late 60s special though...

One thing I didn't mention before was that Elvis' second cousin is some kind of Elvis impersonator himself! He came out for a moment to thank everyone as a representative of the Presley family, and he had his hair styled like Elvis and a lot of stage make up on - so much so that the powder looked caked on his face. Kind of creepy.

I went to the Mile High Music Festival with my brother today. It was so awesome! We had a great time, and I got the chance to hear bands that I've never heard before. My top favorite bands that played were Donavan Frankenreiter, Houses, and Steve Miller Band. Jack Johnson was also pretty good. This was my first time going to a music festival, so it was quite the experience!

Glad you had such a great time at the festival, EF!
I am planning to go to the Philadelphia Folk Festival this Saturday and see Jeff Tweedy, lead singer of Wilco. He is doing a solo acoustic performance, which I am very much looking forward to seeing!

Last Sunday I went to the Decatur Celebration and saw the Georgia Satellites and The Charlie Daniels Band. It's all free so it was very enjoyable (but very hot!)

I saw Jeff Tweedy of Wilco in a solo acoustic performance at the Philadelphia Folk Festival yesterday. What a fantastic concert-I just loved it! I enjoyed his song selection, his banter with the crowd, and seeing him in an acoustic setting.
After the show, he stayed and signed autographs for anyone who wanted one-he seems to really enjoy his fans.
I was so glad I went! Hope to see him again sometime!
