Like everyone else, 7BR has always been a highlight for me with this one. But everything about it is wonderful. We listen to it often. Besides, it has one of my favorite pics of Timothy (my photobucket isn't working right now) but you all know which one I'm referring to. Let's just say looks as if he had indulged a bit before taking stage.

Love, love the Live album! The one I listen to most! Especially the beautiful 7BR and TITTL. I especially love Glenn's congratulating Randy on his awesome performance of TITTL. He sounds as moved by it as the crowd does there.

    A great album!

    Happy Anniversary to Eagles Live!

It was released on November 7th, 1980. The liner notes read, "Thank you and goodnight". The band was officially over. The band would later reform in 1994, calling it the "Hell Freezes Over" tour, referring to Don Henley's response of "when hell freezes over" when asked about an Eagles reunion. Glenn Frey referred to the breakup as a "14-year vacation" at the MTV show. The reunion lineup consisted of the "Long Run" era members, the same lineup featured on "Eagles Live".

    ---

Definitely in my top 3 Eagles albums and top 5 live albums of all time by any band. To me it showcases better than any, the live chemistry between Joe Walsh and Don Felder just by listening to it. You can literally feel it.

Also it was the first version of Life's Been Good I had heard other than the album radio version. I was like - NOW we're talkin! I LOVE LBG with the Eagles as you all know and there is no comparison for me between Eagles Live vs But Seriously Folks. Life's Been Good feels like an Eagles song to me anyway. And put Don Felder on dual leads and harmony vocals on the choruses and it just feels "right" to me.

I don't care if it was overdubbed (courtesy of Federal Express ), many live albums were. KISS Alive for instance, was overdubbed yet still captures the live feel. Same with Eagles Live.

This album is sorely underrated in my view and really to me showcases an era of the Eagles I really admire. If there is any album that truly captures what I love so much about that guitar duo and makes it blatantly obvious, it's this one. Definitely will be going in the player this morning. I've already listened to a couple on YouTube.

Not to forget it gave us the Steve Young tune, Seven Bridges Road, and made it a hit.

For those who haven't listened to it in awhile, I highly encourage everyone to listen to this album today. It really is a classic album in every sense of the word.

I went out to the albums last night to see just how many copies of this we have--- 4 and 2 of them are first pressings. We love showing the first pressings to friends on albums nights and explaining the carry-out grooves on the album.
