I'm lovin' them in the pink tassels! Don was almost at a loss for words. I guess he had not prepared a speech, but it was fine! Congrats to the guys! Do we have to call them Dr. now?

Since tomorrow is the 5th anniversary of the guys getting honorary doctorates, I found a few of the clips from the commencement concert on Youtube. Some of the clips are from the audience and some of them are professional from the livescreen. They all did a great job. I posted some of the videos a few months ago and they are now blocked.

The Heart Of The Matter(recorded by someone from the audience)

Heartache Tonight. The honorees come in at the end.

Take It Easy (recorded by someone from the audience)

Desperado(the good video is now blocked. They had a little montage about the Eagles after this song)

    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley

Here's the video clip of the guys and the other honorees getting hooded. Is that what its called? They get hooded around 1:44 mark.

Yes, it's called getting hooded by most, although formally it is the "hooding ceremony." Those guys are lucky; they only had to wear their regalia once!

    Thanks for finding the video.

Yes, it's that time of year, again, isn't it? It's time for graduation ceremonies with professors in full regalia in attendance. In the spirit of wishing you well and being concerned with your comfort, I hope your college holds their graduation ceremony indoors. My college held (holds) theirs out in the football stadium with Midwestern winds howling.
    So fun.
