    The photo won't come in.

Welcome, Jmorgs - I can see it.

Send it to Joe on Twitter or FB and ask him, maybe he'll reply. I've seen where someone sent Felder a pic of a guitar that was supposedly his and he replied (it definitely wasn't - he had never even owned that type)...give it a shot!

Thanks Mary. I just sent one via FB to Don Felder. Let me now check out Joe. I suspect that Don is more likely to reply.

Got that guitar from a very popular session muscian in Florida in 1977. He said that Joe used it on Hotel California.

I see it now. Nice that you asked Felder. The thing to do is to look through photos of Joe and see if you ever see that color Tele, then compare the wood grain. Must be a pretty clear photo of Joe, obviously. Because this guitar is bare, and if it always was, the wood grain is the way to I.D. it if Don or Joe can't.

Ive looked through a lot of photos with no hits. Of course I'm hoping it's just one he didn't use in concert. I was hoping to find photos of the HC sessions, even contacted Criteria, but no luck. I have a few irons in the fire and am keeping my fingers crossed. By the way, it will be for sale when this is all settled. Thanks for your ideas everyone!

Well, I certainly know Joe played many Teles in his life. The first photo I looked at after I posted, he was playing a guitar just like it. However, you can see an extra screw in Joe's pick guard that isn't in yours. The guitar could have been stripped at any time. I love a good mystery. I hope you keep us informed.

Yeah, I'd really like to know if that really was Joe's guitar. It would be awesome if it was!
People talking about us they got nothing else to do. When it all comes down we will still come through in the long run.

Sticker on case. HC recorded at Criteria Studios, Miami & The Record Plant, Los Angeles, March-October 1976.

Guitar given to me January 1977 by Miami session player and great guitarist himself(look him up) Joey Murcia. I know this guitar belonged to Joe.
