Wow - it's Grammy month, so there are lots of momentous events on the 'Today in Eagles History' calendar. Today it's time to congratulate 'How Long' on the 2 year anniversary of it's Grammy.

Well to continue the Grammy celebration this month, it was 32 years ago today that the band took home awards for two incredible songs. Congratulations Hotel California and New Kid In Town!!!

I noticed that today in 1976 Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 went platinum. Boy did I ever contribute to that. Last count, I have 5 copies of it-and that's just on vinyl! At least 3 of them are so messed up they skip all the time from overplay but I refuse to part with them. Hubby just rolls the eyes at me when I tell him I can't throw them away.

TBF, I have a Greatest Hits CD in my car, that only plays the first three tracks. The rest skips, but I can't part with it either! I don't know why. It's not like I don't have all of those songs on my iPod, computer, other CD's... but I have to hold on to that CD. I think we are crazy!

Well - I'm very late in posting this, but there is another Grammy celebration to mention. It was 30 years ago today that the band received another Grammy award. Congratulations to Heartache Tonight!
