In an interview, Glen described himself as the 3rd best guitarist in the band.
10 is too many, too much thought required for a Sunday morning. This is a biased list. If I could take the time to relisten to all albums, this list would expand and change.
Some of my favourites.

Yes.
There are two parts of being a lead guitarist. One is the technical ability to play the notes. The other is the melodic/compositional ability to decide what notes to play. Glenn was nowhere near as good as Don F and Joe in the former. However, I think he was their equal in the latter. I'm sure I read somewhere that some of Don F's solos or parts were hummed to him by Glenn, and then Don would play them.

That's an important distinction. Glenn's strength was his feel for melody rather than his technical execution.
It makes me think of what I've read about Wishbone Ash, a band that was famous for its twin lead guitars. When writing songs, the bassist says that he would sing the guitar parts to the guitarists who would then work out how to play them. Even stranger, he also used to teach one of the lead guitarists as he had more knowledge of how to play guitar at that point but he just wasn't that good at actually playing.
