I've made an appointment with the cardiologist for March 1st, in the afternoon. It's not quite as long of a wait as I thought that it would be, only 3 weeks.

Sitting at home, with my leg up on the couch - I've torn ligaments in my knee, so waiting on an MRI to confirm it - but at least the painkillers are working

Lacken, yikes! That does not sound fun at all!
Please, everyone get well!

I hope that your knee isn't too badly injured, Lacken.
My doctor is treating me for anxiety and fast heart rate. He thinks that that is the root cause of my problems. With my stomach problems he wants to see if we can get the other under control first, and see if the stomach problems go away after that happens. If not, I'll be seeing a GI doctor. He wants me to keep the appointment for the cardiologist in case it is something more than just anxiety.
When he checked my heart rate, it was anywhere from 125-140. I'm still having mild-moderate chest discomfort and pain, with pressure. It feels like someone has a 10 pound weight right over my heart.

I'm sorry that you have torn ligaments Lacken!! I sure do hope those heal real soon
Wow Kim!! Hope your stomach problems get better and your heart rate goes down
You came along and changed my life Glenn!!
Thanks OM. I'll be keeping a close check on everything over the next 2 weeks. I'm scared of taking the one of the medicines I was prescribed(Paxil). I've heard too much bad things about the potential side effects, which are worse in people under 25. I've heard of the law suits because of it, and I think that risks involved outweigh the good factors of it. When I go back to my doctor, I'm going to tell him that I don't like the idea of taking a mind altering drug like it. I've seen what happens to people who become addicted to these drugs, and don't want to be one of them.
My heart rate today has been between 85-105, which isn't too bad. I'm on a beta blocker, so my heart rate should go down.

I'm one of those people who hates taking pills as well!! It really does prey on your mind! So glad that your heart rate is going down though! I hope all will be fine soon
You came along and changed my life Glenn!!
Feel better Lacken and AG...

For the moment things are going ok here. Gearing up for my AC/DC concert next weekend and my trip to Florida next month.

We haven't had any major problems with my grandfather since Sunday morning, when my grandmother found him on the bedroom floor very early in the morning. He was ok, luckily.
I'll be going back to the doctors office tomorrow. Because of the medicine I'm on, my immune system isn't very strong. My usual wintertime sinus/allergies problems has turned into bronchitis over the past few days.
