Well you are doing your best Peek and it'll get better as you go on. Now here's an idea I have heard of. Its hardest to quit the cigarettes that you have incorporated as part of breaks etc because they tend to form a comfortable part of your daily or work routine. So as well as quitting the ciggie, try to change what you would normally do on such a break. Ie don't sit thinking 'I'd love a cigarette now.....' or 'I used to smoke at this time before I gave them up' Find a different distraction, such as taking a 10 minute stroll or if you want to rest, treat yourself to a good magazine or a book. As soon as you stop associating breaktime with cigarettes the craving for one will stop too. Just an idea. Good luck with your continued success.
Another thing that people do is they put the money they save through NOT buying cigarettes into a fund and treat themselves to something nice as a motivational reward...... I'm sure the Eagles or Don will play near you again soon.....and wouldn't those hot seats be nice ?

Thanks everybody. Your support on this means a lot. I really appreciate it. I've already completely quit smoking in my car. Although I stopped that about 3 weeks ago, it helps that I just got a new car and don't want to ruin the new car smell. GA, I will definitely keep your suggestion in mind about putting back ciggie money to treat myself in the future. I definitely want to see the guys again when they come back to the states. Maybe I'll be smoke free by the time they start touring here again.

I am starting the Slim fast plan, a Shake or Snack bar for lunch, and dinner the same.

Good Luck, EL. Do you know how long you're going to do it for?

Probably stay on it, since I need to be in better health, but of course, my portions will probably get smaller for dinner.

Well I am making an effort at livin' right. I have managed to lose some weight over the last year but in the last few months its come to a screeching halt. Even though I walk almost 3 miles a day with my dog and live on a very restricted diet I have lost almost nothing in the last few months and I am getting a bit frustrated. I am not giving up yet but I sure hope I can break this plateau soon!

Good luck Cami. Maybe the fact that your seeing THE EAGLES will give you some added incentive!

BIG incentive. I am keeping my little Eagles concert circuit in April and May in mind all the time!
