    Default Meagan's Walk

In Honour of Mother's Day I wanted to share this....

    http://www.meaganswalk.com/html/meagans_story.asp

Once Meagan passed away her mother, rather than be taken over with grief decided to give back to the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children. She has raised funds towards childrens brain tumour research by creating Meagans Walk and group hug on Mothers Day. For the group hug, people lineup all around the hospital join hands and "hug" all the children inside.

Here is a picture of the group hug.. it's pretty amazing, 3,000 people hugging the hospital!

It's so sad when a child dies, but Meagan's courage must have been inspirational, and has provided a bit of hope for other children suffering from cancer with that amazing group hug. Thanks for posting that, Kath.

Especially poignant at the moment as the parents of little Madeleine, who was abducted from her bed in the Algarve in Portugal , wait anxiously for news. A villa was being searched this evening - we can only hope and pray that it won't be the worst outcome.

That is a very touching story. I'm amazed at how some parents who loose young children can find the strength to turn it into something positive. I only hope I could be that strong.

GEF - I certainly hope the little girl is found alive. I just saw a special on "America's Most Wanted" and it's absolutely horrific how many children and kidnapped and killed. Let's hope she's one of the lucky ones.

What a sweet little girl she was, and how heartbreaking that she is not with us any more. Thanks for reminding us about the good things she brought to this world.
