I remember that Joe was working on some film music last year;

I think the two films (Citizen Soldier and Danger Close) are out this month. Joe's been doing some media over the weekend, I'm looking forward to hearing more.

Joe's new song is titled No Man's Land. It's out in August, same time as the Citizen Soldier documentary, it was written for.
you're welcome Sodascouts, it's great to have a place to post all these Walsh lonks.
Joe will be on CNN promoting Citizen Soldier tomorrow

Here's Joe's short interview with Michaela Pereira. It's a plug for his tour. He doesn't mention Citizen Soldier although we get a clip and a little bit of his new track, No Man's Land which, on first impression, sounds awful
It sounds like there is more that wasn't shown.

I haven't been so disappointed in new Walsh material since I first heard Fairbanks, Alaska as a taster for Joe's 1992 Songs For A Dying Planet album.
I thought Joe was finished.
Songs For A Dying Planet turned out to be my favourite Walsh album for Decades. Joe came back from the dead, the Eagles successfully reunited, Joe's got better and better, it was good to be a Walsh fan again.
Did Joe really say he's writing better than ever
I hope I'm wrong about No Man's Land.

Walsh will appear on John Mayall's new "studio album." I'm not sure when it will be released, but this is a recent article.
Interestingly, Mayall had never met Walsh. Here is Mayall describing what happened:
“I’d never met him [Walsh] before and I didn’t even know that he was into blues, but apparently he got in touch with the studio head and wanted to come down and play with us,” Mayall tells ABC Radio. “So I thought, ‘Well, why not?’ and it turned out he turned in some great blues work.”

Thanks for the link WalshGirl. The article says John Mayall's new album, Talk About That, is due to be released early next year. Great to hear that Joe initiated the collaboration.
I'm looking forward to the Frankie Miller release in a couple of weeks, http://www.udiscovermusic.com/franki...ook-at-an-icon
Joe and Rod, Woho!
