The star of such movies and television shows as "Martin," "Against the Law," "The Parkers," "Across the Tracks," and "Harlem Nights" has died of a ruptured stomach aneurysm at a metro Atlanta, GA, area hospital. Ford was 54 years old.

RIP Tommy Ford. I saw this last night and just so sad. We used to watch "Martin" when I was little and do remember him from it.

I grew up watching him on Martin. Very funny guy. I also remembered him in Class Act(with an old rap group called Kid & Play) and Harlem Nights.

I didn't know he was going by Tommy Ford. I always remembered him as Thomas Mikal Ford.

RIP Tommy. Thanks for many years of laughter.
