    I'm with ya Sista!!!

I've been into the Doobies a lot this past year. Saw them last year - sadly before I was really into them. Can't wait to see them again, although I may have to wait until next year. I don't want to see them with anyone else - I want a full Doobies show!

I agree with you. I like the Tom Johnston era much more than the a Michael McDonald era. I've never been a Michael McDonald fan. I call him 'Marble Mouth ' lol.

The song that I can listen to over and over again - my favorite song, right now - is South City Midnight Lady. I also enjoy Neal's Fandango and Clear As the Driven Snow. I guess I'm a Pat Simmons fan, although I love watching a Tommy perform, too!

Thanks for starting this thread. I should have done it a long time ago!

Until last year I didn't know their names! I always knew that Black Water wasn't sung by the same guy who sang Listen To the Music and China Grove, but that's as far as I got. Now I know who sings which songs.

Without You is a great song! I probably heard it live, but since I didn't know the song when I saw them I'm not sure if I did or not. Lol! It's a great song performed live. I'll post my favorite video of it in a minute.

There are some great interviews on YouTube you might want to look up. There are several where Pat talks about how he wrote Black Water that I found interesting. I also enjoy Tom's interview videos.

You would also probably enjoy the Doobie Brothers Live at Wolf Trap concert DVD. I love it! The performances are great, and there's a hilarious bonus track about a woman in the front row who kept grabbing a low microphone set up on the edge of the stage. You can order it through Amazon.

Was watching random YouTube videos on TV the other night and pulled up a Doobie's video (don't remember which one) but I instantly thought of you PM. Now I guess I'll be thinking of SC also.

I actually saw the Doobie Brothers in concert in 1977 in a college town in Montana. It was so exciting and so packed in the arena you couldn't move. But back in the day you didn't care because even the police dogs were stoned. Ha, happy memories. Love the song Black Water..

Forgive me if I've posted this before, but a piece of trivia: Joe opened for these guys in the early 90s.
