There seems to be a trend in the last few pages of this thread of revisiting the good ole days, so I thought I'd post one of my all-time HS&G favorites from days gone by ...

I've said it a dozen times, but will say it again. That is a baritone Tacoma guitar Joe plays. He didn't use it in concerts before LROE as far as I know. But I love the tone those guitars have. Not just the baritone style either....the normal jumbo shaped but dreadnought size sounds fantastic. They don't have to shear volume that a traditional dreadnought has without electronic help, but my the tone!

I'd like to marry them and have their children! Watching a little ukulele grow up would be fun!

Hmm, wonder what Joe would look like in that photo if we gave Mike the guitar to hold...

Amen, bro. When I got to see them and had 2nd row right in front of Joe, I was blown away by the sound thru the air of this guitar. I could hear it "non-amplified" and it was beautiful. The sound of his 12-string wasn't too shabby either....boy that brings me back, what a show that was....

Tacoma is out of business now. They were a Portland, Oregon company who was bought out by Fender with the intention to moving the production to somewhere in the North East. To the best of my knowledge, Fender never resumed manufacture of these unique guitars. On eBay, the ones being sold are getting a very good price as others discover their worth.

I found this one on Facebook. Apparently back in 69 or 70. I hadn't seen it before. It may be the only time I've ever seen Joe holding a Gibson SG.
