It depends on whether the side comment "What happens if Don Henley gets hot" is a part of the ad or a commentary upon the ad. Don would have a much more difficult time if it's just one-time commentary rather than a part of the ad (which is how it appears to be on the page). That may not stop his lawyer from sending a C&D, though.

On a related note, word is out in academia about Don's litigious... careful guardianship of his artistic rights, shall we say. Recently, an academic journal my friend edits told an author that she needed to get legal permission if she used a line from "Hotel California" in her article analyzing rhetoric (she wanted to say that we writers are "prisoners of our own [rhetorical] device"). Permission was duly obtained!

It's an odd situation, it was an email, and I found it on an email search engine. I wasn't even aware that there was such a thing. A C&D would mean they would not send any more such emails or use it in other advertising, but there's no way they can undo it now.

Concertbank is predicting Don to be the next big thing in music. They got his age wrong, and they are saying this tour wraps up in Los Angeles on July 29. Maybe the Eagles are doing a private show? Or maybe they got it wrong like they did his age?

ETA: 7/29 is the date of the show in Bossier City, so I guess the author got LA (Louisiana) confused with Los Angeles.

I have no doubt Don's going to do well, but the phrase "next big thing" makes it sound like he's something new. This guy isn't the next big thing, he's the "already big thing"!

Not sure if this was posted before but its nice to read again...
This just shows that boys will always be boys - can just picture Don driving this around his ranch

Super Furry Animals: “Don Henley has our tank!”

Makes me wonder how big his ranch is though ????

Reminds me of a few months ago when Kayne West fans thought that he was going to make Paul McCartney a star by doing a song with him!
Seriously, if your band (that you helped create) is playing sold out concerts to fans all over the world and you have people highly anticipating the announcement of a release date for your next solo album, how can you not be a "big thing"?

LOL! Surely they're just kidding? I can't visualize Don riding a tank around in his backyard for kicks, although I guess you never know!
