He suffered for his art. He worked very hard on his lyrics," Seger says.

That is a nice quote for people who thought Frey did not write lyrics.

Seger has covered himself in glory throughout this whole sorry period. He is the only person who worked with Glenn apart from Tempchin to pay him a proper tirbute.

    EDIT: OFF-TOPIC POSTS MOVED.

This was a really nice thread until AT came in here and derailed it with a statement he knew would be controversial, disingenuously pretending that he doesn't understand Dawn's meaning, disingenuously asking to hear why people don't feel the band should continue when he's already read our answers in Eagles 3.0 and he knows quite well how heated that discussion can get; he eggs everyone on for "mysterious" reasons of his own. I have moved those posts.

Back to the interview. I could feel the love he had for Glenn and the pain in his neck! I hope he will recover quickly. I saw him a few years ago and would love to see him again. He was fantastic!

Loved both of his new songs. I Knew You When was so bittersweet.

It was a wonderful interview. Reading it, you can tell how difficult is still is for Bob to talk about Glenn's passing. His love for Glenn really showed through. I would love to see Bob in concert and hope he is feeling better and on the road to a full recovery.

Maybe this question is more appropriate in the Sirius Eagles Channel thread, but I was surprised that in a segment on Bob Seger, it was stated that Glenn and Bob continued to collaborate throughout their 50-year friendship. Then Bob's "Night Moves" was played, implying that Glenn was somehow involved - perhaps as an uncredited background vocalist or something.

@NMB-- If it's the show I heard, then yeah, Glenn helped out on backing vocals for "Night Moves" and "Against the Wind." I need to listen to both more carefully through my headphones.

Woah! I never even heard that, geez.

So we can conclude that the rumor "Still the Same" was a dis against Glenn is totally bogus.

That's the first I've heard about Glenn on "Night Moves"!!! Love that song and going to have to listen to it again too. Did know about "Against the Wind" through my Dad (though he says it's not just Glenn but all the Eagles, which I know isn't right LOL) and Glenn being credited on the "Greatest Hits" album years ago, and I can hear him on it especially at the end.

Also love Glenn and Bob's friendship too.

Still The Same doesn't diss Glenn, but it is about him. I have an impeccable source for this. It is possible to write about someone in not entirely complimentary terms without labelling the result a 'diss'. That's how I see it.

Here is our topic on this:

I have never heard that he sang backup on Night Moves. And it is just him on Against The Wind. He is on Fire Lake with Henley & Schmit.

Too many people here seem to be unaware of the extraordinary job he did on Shame On The Moon, from The Distance.
