My first reaction was "Who's Liz Kendall?" but when I looked her up, I realised she was the Labour leadership candidate who I thought was really weak in the debate last year.

I would agree with that characterisation. Compare her to what we've learnt about the late Jo Cox.

While there's no evidence Liz Kendall was involved or knew anything, she replaced (and had previously worked with) Patricia Hewitt who is alleged to have taken cash for questions.

One of the reasons no one is talking about the EU is that the process doesn't start until we have a new Prime Minister.

The papers are full of articles though. I really, really, hope that we don't end up with people with EU passports being ejected from the country. That would damage the UK hugely: socially, politically, and economically.

Can I ask our overseas friends to NOT look at the papers and find out who has been appointed Foreign Secretary in our government. Please.

Is it Boris? It did seem strange, but we in the U.S. are in no position to judge.

More importantly, what's the consensus on Theresa May?

I think you are in a position to judge.

It is Boris. Some people are suggesting that Theresa May has appointed him to this role as she expects him to do a poor job and that this will discredit him and make a challenge for the Prime Minister role less likely.

It's still early days for Theresa May, but it isn't looking good at present. At least from the point of view of people such as myself. Those who voted to exit the EU seem happy that it seems that she is going to follow through on that.

OT: Nigel Farage is only 52?! He looks much older.

    Carry on.
