    Default "Turn to Stone"

I know Joe recorded two versions, Barnstorm and the So What album version. I was wondering if anyone knew if the Eagles sang on the So What version, seeing as how they sang (as far as I know) on "Help Me Thru the Night" on the same album...

No, they were just on "Help Me Thru the Night."

Just bought So What on vinyl and turns out that Don, Randy, and Glenn did sing on "Turn to Stone". Can't wait to listen to it.

Yeah you can clearly hear Glenn on the refrain, at least.

Wow, really? Are you just going by your ears, or is there a written credit? Anyway, my bad! Thanks for setting the record straight.

Both. I have So What on vinyl and Don, Glenn and Randy are credited with background vocals on "Turn To Stone" and "Help Me Through The Night." Don also sings backup on "Falling Down" (which he co-wrote with Joe) and "Time Out" (with J.D.).

Little wonder that the Eagles were able to do such an epic version of it live back in the 70s. I understand why they don't do it now - it's quite long and they use more well-known songs for Joe's showpieces - but it's a personal favorite of mine.

Yeah - my 'So What' CD credits are the same as Luna's. And Turn to Stone is one of my very favorite Joe solo songs as well - LOVE IT!
