Joe opened for him? That's even better than guesting as it means more of his material!

I thought it was obvious when the tour was announced that Joe was the opening act. That was why I expressed some disquiet about it at the time.

I'm not sure what was the purpose of you pointing out that I failed to recognize something obvious, unless you simply wish to make me feel stupid. Thanks.

I searched to find the review of their first concert together because in all of the pre-show info I found, no where did it clearly say that Joe was an opening act. I wasn't certain until I read and posted the review that Joe was not going to join Bob in his songs and vice-versa. Joe was ambiguously listed as "special guest" in all promotional material I could find. So, no. It was not obvious and you are correct -- he will play more of his material and I'm looking forward to it. You are the antithesis of stupid.

I first mentioned this back on page 13 of this thread. I'm sorry. I always thought 'special guest' or whatever meant 'opening act' and that is in fact the case. If it was so wrong to think that then I have nothing else to say.

I was hoping special guest was both. Kid rock opened for him and played on stage with Bob. apparently that was not the case. Sorry, on the phone...hard to type.!

I saw "Special Guest" as well. I thought it meant he was playing with him for a couple/few songs.

I am going to see Bob Seger this Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio. MY sister, Kay, lives in Dayton and is going with me. She just called me and said the opening act is JOE WALSH! I told her I hoped it would be somebody I like. This is going to be great.

Cheryl, you lucky duck! Hope you have a great time!

Every time I hear a Bob Seger song I wish that I could see him live, and especially after the nice things some of you had to say here about seeing him in concert. Just today I heard Katmandoo and thought about him being on tour, but Hubby doesn't seem that keen on going.
