    Default Neil Diamond

I haven't seen a thread on Neil. So I'm making one.

Poor Neil. Neil was just diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and he's retiring from touring. His Australia and New Zealand dates have been cancelled. He will continue to record and make music. So many actors and singers have been diagnosed with this disease.

    Brothers for life. RIP Glenn

I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley

I am sorry to hear this. My mom listened to Neil Diamond a lot while I was growing up and while I was never much of a fan, some of his songs have grown on me over the years.

My Mom told me about this last night and so sad to hear. Another one I grew up with and so love a lot of his songs.

Great story from Jim Jefferies about Neil. If you are easily offended, do not click. Audio only.

Watch Neil sum up his life in this wonderful song from the 12 Songs album.

I love that song. I remembered watching that special some years ago and fell in love with that song.
