I am going to resurrect this old thread to ask a question:
I understand that there is a DVD called Under the Covers that has a lot of Henry Diltz's pictures and the background about many of these album covers. I read that this DVD has a number of interviews with the Eagles, too. Does anyone know anything about this? Has anyone ever seen it, or have a copy of it?

Yeah DF - I have the Under the Cover DVD. It is commercially available. I got mine through Amazon. It is something all Eagles fans should have. It does indeed have several interviews with Glenn and Don mainly about the photo shoots for the Eagles and Desperado album covers for which Henry shot the photos and Gary Burden did the cover designs. In addition to the Eagles, these two worked with lots of other 70's artists on their album cover designs as well. Some of the other albums discussed are Mama Cass, CSN&Y, Jackson Browne, and The Doors.

Well, I would post a couple of the screenshots from the DVD, but I'm supposed to be watching the football game. I just took a halftime break.

Glad to help, everyone. Thanks for those gorgeous screenshots, Soda. They both look VERY good in the interview and are also both quite relaxed and humorous. Whenever I think of this DVD, it reminds me of a couple of my favorite quotes from Don and Glenn. At one point during the Desperado interview, with a very cute and mischievous look, Don explains how in the old days all he and Glenn had to do "was get up in the morning and think about songwriting - (afterthought) and girls." During the Eagles album segment, the interviewer shows Glenn some old pictures that Henry took during the photo shoot and Glenn exclaims, "This is not history, this is evidence."
