52 years old, I can't believe it. Always loved his voice and his songs.

RIP Chris Cornell. I was so shocked to hear this morning about this. I loved Chris and I especially loved Audioslave. I listened to them so much as a teenager. I really liked Soundgarden too but Audioslave came out when I was struggling as a teen and their songs, especially "Be Yourself", came out when I needed it. I also loved the song he and Eddie Vedder did with Temple of the Dog too, "Hunger Strike". Sending prayers for his family and friends.

Horrible. ABC News is reporting it may have been suicide.

Singer Chris Cornell's death at the age of 52 is being investigated as a "possible suicide," Detroit Police confirmed to ABC News on Thursday morning.

Officer Jennifer Moreno told ABC News that the singer was found at midnight in his hotel room at the MGM Grand in Detroit after being checked on by a family friend. Moreno confirmed the general investigation as a "possible suicide," but could not comment on any of the specifics of how he was found.

Oh I remember Black Hole Sun. I loved the whole grunge era.

Very young. He seemed so happy.

    RIP.

Huge loss. I've always been a big fan of Soundgarden, as well as Audioslave and his earlier project, Temple Of The Dog. Very talented, and I am deeply saddened and stunned. RIP, Good Sir.

It's been confirmed now as a suicide and I'm feel even more sorry for his family, friends, bandmates, and fellow fans. He also just performed in Detroit last night and was supposed to headline a big rock festival here in my city Columbus tomorrow. It's just so sad.
