    Default Spirit Music Group

I love the band Spirit but this is nothing to do with them, although the thought of Spirit and Joe Walsh teaming up got my heart pumping.

I vaguely remember this news last autumn; Spirit Music Group Signs Global Deal with Music Legend Joe Walsh

    Here's Joe's, Spirit Music Group page: http://www.spiritmusicgroup.com/Clients/Library/Joe-Walsh

Joe's re-recorded some of his biggest hits for the alliance!

I'm sure Walsh afficianados will be able to notice the subtle differences with the originals.
I can't get the "Browse All Songs" link to work so I don't know if he's re-recorded any other favourites or if we have yet another recorded version of the wonderful, Turn To Stone.

A few years back, Joe's pal, Jeff Lynne re recorded an E.L.O. Greatest Hits album, playing all the instruments himself. It's indistinguishable from the original but I expect Jeff gets a bigger cut of the money from the later version.

David Gilmour re-recorded Pink Floyd's song "Money"

    From Wikipedia

The song was re-recorded for the 1981 Pink Floyd album, A Collection of Great Dance Songs, because Capitol Records refused to license the track to Columbia Records in the United States. With the help of producer James Guthrie, Gilmour re-recorded the song, providing vocals and playing all the instruments except saxophone.[11] Parry again contributed the sax solo, reprising his role on the original recording.

Here's a catalog spotlight on Joe's Spirit Nusic Group page; http://www.spiritmusicgroup.com/Play...ight-Joe-Walsh

Particularly nice to see Split Decision and Waffle Stomp billeted.

    The re-recorded tracks are;

    1. Joe Walsh - "Life's Been Good [Re-record]"
    2. Joe Walsh - "In The City [Re-record]"
    3. Joe Walsh - "All Night Long [Re-record]"
    4. Joe Walsh - "Ordinary Average Guy [Re-record]"
    5. Joe Walsh - "A Life Of Illusion [Re-record]"

    (Including instrumental/karaoki versions)

It's great to see new recordings. Almost torture to hear them coming to a sudden stop before the track ends. I wonder how you get to hear the full tracks?

Surprised to see Joe's Eagles songs listed, even The Sad Cafe. Disappointed that there is nothing from his, pre eagles, ABC Label days.

I'm still having difficulties navigating aound the site
