That's our fundamental difference; an impassioned performance is what I value most. OOTN isn't my favorite song, but holy crap, the guys throw themselves into singing it here. The vocals start out with a smoky sensuality and then build to an incredible climax, and they take you right along with them. It's the hottest performance of the concert, IMHO.
NKIT has a very vulnerable quality to the vocal, especially the bridge. It really adds a lot to the performance. I find it moving... There's that passion element again... And I love it.
When I go to a show, I want the performer to make me feel the emotion of the lyrics. If they didn't sell the songs with impassioned performances, I wouldn't bother to attend. I'd just listen to the songs at home and save myself a lot of money.
