I just saw online that Jim Nabor, known for playing Gomer Pyle has died. He was 87. I loved his catchphrase, gawwwleee and shazam
RIP Jim.

Brothers for life. RIP Glenn
I'm not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet. It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it. But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some." -Don Henley
He was so funny in the Andy Griffith Show. “Citizen’s arrest! Citizen’s arrest!” is one of my favorite Gomer moments.
RIP

Yep, the pride of Sylacauga, Alabama. May he rest in peace.
Loved Jim on "Andy Griffith" and his Marines spinoff "Gomer Pyle, USMC". Was so funny and had such a great singing voice. Loved seeing him on TV yearly as he would sing Indiana's state song before the Indy 500 race.

"So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains and we never even know we have the key."
RIP. As an Indy resident, I loved his rendition of "Back Home Again In Indiana" before the Indianapolis 500. He sang it for 40 years or so and became very close with the Hulmans, the owners of the track.
Good ole Jim. He was a gifted actor and singer.
We feel so sad and sentimental with this news. The shows on which he acted were on our family tv, both first-run and repeats, for years and years. Jim was brilliant in the role of the gentle-spirited Gomer Pyle. Thank goodness I have the DVD set of The Andy Griffith show so we can continue to enjoy his work for many more years.
Our deepest sympathy to his family and close friends. I know Jim will be missed.
It's all in your smile that brings
All of the special things about you
Huh, I thought he died a while ago. RIP, Gomer.
