Am I the only Republican on this board? lol.
Side note didn't Felder play for the GOP a few years ago?
Great interview otherwise
Used to be one, but lost respect for them a long time ago(especially in the past several months). Still can't being myself to vote for a Hillary/Bernie-type, though. Looks like I'll be writing in my favourite network news lady for President.
As to Felder, he would probably play for anyone who asked him.
All carrot, no stick.

I don't like to talk politics, but I used to be a Republican. I became disenchanted with the party and left it a few years ago. I no longer have a party affiliation; I just vote case-by-case. However, even if I were still a card-carrying Republican, I'd disavow politician Joe Walsh's statements.
Here's Joe's short interview with Michaela Pereira. It's a plug for his tour. He doesn't mention Citizen Soldier although we get a clip and a little bit of his new track, No Man's Land which, on first impression, sounds awful
It sounds like there is more that wasn't shown.

Thanks for finding that, F50 - What an inspiration that Joe is!

There are a few things of Walsh interest surfacing today;
Firstly an telephone interview with Renee DiNino, including some touching Frey thoughts;

Secondly, a text and audio extract from David Stewart's memoir "Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This", focussing on the period when Joe and Stevie were parting and Don't Come Here No More.
I was stunned to learn that my favourite eighties female singer and Joe were once an item. Even more surprised to learn the first Tom Petty record I bought has a Walsh connection. I now find out it was almost a Nicks song.

Lastly, for now, some good backstage peaks from Joe's latest toor wrap;

Thanks Funk 50 for the links! Will be checking them out tonight!
On the Rolling Stone's website is an article and interview with Walsh about the current presidential candidates--hint, he doesn't like either one. Of course, his opinion is not surprising given the current Turn to Stone video at his concerts. BTW, I'm not being political here. Just reporting information about Walsh and his interests, etc.
That said, I see that Walsh played a fundraising event at the DNC. And he also notes in the RS interview that he is voting, just not for president.
As always, JW is his happy self!

Thanks so much for all the links, especially the interview. I especially loved the question about what song gave him "goosebumps" and his answer, "Desperado."
How Walsh responded to her question about Glenn's death was also revealing. Namely, after mourning for several months, Walsh decided that touring would be the best thing to do. This makes sense, but it didn't occur to me. Of course, touring would be therapeutic--besides fun!
DiNino is a great interviewer. Wish she would've had more time to speak with Walsh. She seemed to establish an instant rapport.
