I think some are weirded out by his growly vocal, but I like that he's having fun with it and putting that spin on it!

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
It's been four years?! Wow. I remember when I first got this album - my mom bought two copies so I wouldn't keep stealing hers. (since I have a tendency to take her Eagles CDs and listen to them...) It was in my boombox all the time, and I listened to it constantly. And when I saw them on the tour, the songs sounded even better live. Happy anniversary, LROOE!

Happy Birthday to Long Road Out Of Eden. I cannot believe its four years since it was released. I still consider it the 'new' Eagles album! I suppose its still the newest!
Tori! We had the same situation here! I bought the standard version in the shops the day it was released. However I also ordered the de lux edition! When the De Lux arrived my (then 6 year old) daughter laid claim to the original one. Of course my first reaction on opening the booklet that came with it was ............. OMG
My favourites change a little but not by much....

We also have PCHFC on our cds, but it might complicate things to include it here. Anyway I tend to skip it when its NOT the Christmas season.

I don't classify Hole In The World as part of LROOE, even though I also have a copy of it as a 'UK Bonus Track'. It was recorded back in 2003. Because you included it on your second list you've left out Business As Usual.
Well, the belatedly released "Deluxe Edition" with its recycled "bonus tracks" was just a lame marketing tactic to get us hardcores to buy another copy even though not only did we already have LROOE, we also had both the "bonus tracks" if we owned the VBoE.
Did I fall for it and buy the deluxe version as well?
You betcha! lol
However, I agree that those recycled tracks shouldn't be considered part of their new album.
Anyway, a couple of years ago I made a bunch of videos for this album. They all got taken down off YouTube of course, but here they are in their MySpace incarnations:

I finally bought the deluxe edition earlier this year.
