FP, I know this is a really fundamental suggestion, but did you unplug your machine from the wall for a minute, then plug it back in, then restart it?

FP, you might also try using an alternative browser. I'm not sure which one you are using, but if you try IE, Firefox, Google Chome - one might work. Obviously, since the board works on your phone, it is not a board issue but rather on your end. I hope you can fix it soon!

Thanks everyone. As you can see I'm back. The problem was obviously my server. I was very worried there for a while. This place has been so fundamental to me for 8 years & I didn't want to lose it, particularly this week. Now let's get this av & sig changed...

Those of you confused about default board styles (and it IS confusing)....

If you want the board default to change on special occasions, here is what you must do:

1) Go to the User CP in the upper left hand corner of the board. It is on the far left.

2) After you bring up your User CP, look on the left sidebar and click on "Edit Options."

3) After that page comes up, scroll all the way down to the bottom. You'll see a block called "Miscellaneous Options." There is a box within that block that is entitled "Forum Skin."

4) Set the "Forum Skin" to "Use Forum Default." Do NOT select "EOC Default" as that is the red skin.



5) Hit the button below it that says "Save Changes."

Ok, I have checked mine and it was on 'use forum default'. But yet, it is showing up in the light blue skin. (my front page says 'vbulletin default'.) ??

That's what I'm basically saying, too. My forum skin is set on 'use forum default' and yet it never changes unless I change it. I don't really mind, though. If I read posts that indicate that Soda has switched it to Halloween, for example, sometimes I'll just switch it there myself.

On Halloween, I changed my skin back to LROOE because I found the letters hard to read with this new prescription. It stayed as LROOE even after everyone switched back, and my option was 'use forum default'. I just changed my default to something else and saved it, then back to 'use forum default' and saved again. Now it's showing HFO, and I hope that's what it's supposed to be?

Ah okay, I just did that too, and now it's showing HFO. I guess if I would leave it alone from this point it would change when Soda changes it, but because I use the drop down box on the main page to change mine it doesn't.

Right! It's a common bug in code and as a tester, it's one of the first things I test for. I just didn't know how to change it to the default until Soda posted it!
