In place of the warped Randy Meisner lp, I got these 2 Poco albums; Cantamos and Head Over Heels.

I have all the Poco albums. AG ...You will love them. I also just finally got a new turntable to play them on since my other one broke about 10 years ago & I haven't heard these albums since then, so I'm going to clean them up, wipe out the pot seeds in the jackets & listen to them again...LOL
I think my favorite Poco album is DeLiverin' so if you can find that one, do get it!
Hope you enjoy the new turntable TK! If you had asked me if I wanted to collect records 2 years ago, I would've said no. Now, I'm addicted! Anytime I find a Poco album, I buy it, though I haven't found Deliverin' yet.

I hear what you're saying, Topkat! LOL Enjoy the new turntable!
BUT, Head Over Heels has to be equal to DeLiverin' for me. I'm in love with "Keep On Tryin'" and Donald Fagen's "Dallas," not to mention "Let Me Turn Back To You" and "Down in the Quarter." Plus just look at those faces on the cover (Timothy, oh, Timothy.)
Oh, good grief, AG, you're going to love this album more every time you play it. But good luck finding DeLiverin. It's so great, too!
I'll shut up now.

Back Again, AG! I should have mentioned, especially to you, how great is "Georgia, Bind My Ties!"
As an aside, right after GBMT, is "Us," which is, I believe, the first time Rusty Young sang lead on a Poco recording. And then here comes Tim"s "Flyin' Solo!" Yay!!
And, props to Paul Cotton and George Grantham, both of whom are excellent.
Ok, that's it. I'm playing my album tonight.

I agree that Head Over Heels is also one fine album. I just love Deliverin' because I believe Tim said the first song he wrote is on that album & I don't have it with me now, but will look up the title. It's also a live double album & Jim Messina is still with them on that album.
Also love the liner notes written by famous NY DJ Pete Fornatel. Tim looks so very young on that album, but the picture of him on Head Over Heels Cover is to die for, as you see I'm a Timothy Lover also
