I just thought about something. Unlike with the first set of twelve, this week they didn't have the stairs, the sofas, the interviews - I liked it so much better this week! But wouldn't you think that 'for fairness sake" they would do everything exactly the same for all thirty-six contestants?

And Simon didn't go last - Hell Freezes Over!

I only saw the first hour of AI, and then I switched over to "Lost". Did I miss much in the second hour? I did see Allison during the first part of the show, and I was blown away. She kind of reminds me of a young Janis Joplin!

Stars, Adam, who went last, sang the Stones' Satisfaction and the judges thought he was the best of the night. While I thought he was a little over the top, I still appreciated his excellent vocal range. I agree with the judges - when you're in a competition like this, you can't just sing well - you have to show what you've got, and Adam did that.

Thanks, PM! I hope they will show a clip of Adam's performance during the results show. I assume the results show is tonight?

Thanks, Soda! Adam was very good, and deserved to be in the Top 12, IMHO.
He's also got a nice personality, and he ain't bad on the eyes either!

No surprise that Adam got through last night over "Norman," although I admit I was a smidge concerned Norman would get the "entertainment value" vote. lol I was very happy Allison went through as well.

Kris though.... wow. I'm astonished he got to the Top 12. It's not that he was bad, he just wasn't that great.

I hope Matt G. gets a wild card spot. His song choice was not so hot, but he's got a really great voice. Jesse and Megan are also two strong Wild Card contenders for the same reason, I think, and maybe Jasmine.

p.s. Did anyone else notice that "Norman" seemed a bit lost during the group sing?

Does anybody else see a resemblance to Elvis, especially around the eyes?

    I thought Kris was forgettable.

I only watched the last five minutes. My Fighting Illini were playing (and won - yea!) I didn't get to see the group performance.

I agree with you, PM. I thought of Elvis a couple of times while I was watching him perform.

Unfortunately, I missed both of last week's shows, so I'm glad I can catch up a bit here. How much d'ya wanna bet these two become an item? They already seem like a couple in this interview!
