I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but my hubby is quite a "hunter"! Raccoons and deer mostly. And only in season and legal! It's a sporting thing. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D">

<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> No, we don't eat it! Never have, but there are people that do. I've heard raccoon meat is pretty greasy. The fur is sold and it's a sport dog thing. There are actually world class 'coon hunting dogs and 'coon hunting races. I have been with my husband a few times and to me it's not a lot of fun chasing a dog through the woods in the dark. But lots of men around here have great fun at it. A competition.



As for deer meat, I don't care for it either, but it is very lean and better for you than beef or pork.
