    Default That 1936 Ford

I'm an early Ford V-8 enthusiast, so I noticed the 1936 Ford two-door "fast back" sedan in the background of one of your album liners. I saw it some years ago and thought it was a prop, but then I saw it again in some Eagles literature.

So tell me: was that Ford just a prop, or is/was it owned by a band member.... if so which one and is there a story behind it?

Thanks, and thanks for all the great music. I play it in my car all the time.

We're just fans here, so unless something was mentioned by a band member in an interview, we're not going to know it. I can't remember anything being said about it.

    Welcome!

According to page 127 of California Rock, California Sound, it's Henley's.

Is this the Ford in question? (I know nothing about cars)

SS, that book is new to me. Is it worth checking out?

@ Delilah-- I'd be willing to bet yes. Googled 1936 Ford coupe and got this image. It's the same color and made from the passenger side. You can see Glenn is standing in front of the back window.

Thanks, Pippin, it reminds me of the ZZ Top car, although I think that was a later model.

I had read in one of the Eagles books it was Randy's car. Not sure though.

Delilah: Yes, that's the one, also in Ben Fong-Torre's book. Apparently there's no consensus about whose car it is/was. Henley? Meisner? If the band members see this board, maybe they can clear it up and let us know if the car is still around and being driven by an Eagle. That would be cool.

I think so. I've bought it twice
