He's not an artist, but few have made such an impact on music as this man. Today would have been his 100th birthday!

You can't change the world but you can change yourself.
He was a jazz musician, known for also creating the Les Paul with Ted McCarty, and having a huge part to do with inventing multitrack recording.
I love Les Pauls and they changed rock music forever.
RIP Les.
Thank you for setting me straight!!

He's become more known for his creation of the Gibson Les Paul (which Ted McCarty, Gibson's CEO also had a huge hand in) than his own music. To a lot of people he's just the name on the headstock.
He and Mary Ford had a lot of great music if you like jazz. I think How High The Moon was pretty revolutionary recording wise at the time it was made.
I shouldn't talk as I don't know his music intimately either. But I love the Les Paul guitar.
I'll post a pic of my two Gibson Les Pauls.
RIP (and happy birthday) to a guy that changed music forever. I don't know anything about his music and I can't play guitar, but his contributions to the world of music are very important.
