Gee, I think OOTN is a great performance.
Anyway, it's getting harder to choose but I vote for Take it Easy

...Well it sure makes you wonder the things that some people will say. They can see black and white but they don't seem to notice the grey...
One of These Nights
I'm voting for Take it easy for two reasons:
- while I love this song, this performance has no spark in it, it just feels like they are going through the motions
- to save OOTN - this song has definitely got a spark to it!! Its one of those songs where everything just seems to work and I love this performance

Not that it matters, but I think the performance of TIE is the one I saw, although I can't prove it. I distinctly remember how wet Glenn's hair was when they came out to play it. They were not 'going through the motions' in my opinion. Also Glenn winks in it. As I have had him wink at me twice in a couple of years (including this March) it seems more special these days.
I wasn't going to say anything about OOTN but I guess I might as well. It's a good performance (Glenn's passionate harmonies) but there is no way I think it's better than the others remaning.
I've given the remaining songs another view. I really don't know what to vote for. Just reminds me that I'm not a fan of music dvds. I didn't enjoy it at all.
Out of the tracks that remain, One Of These Nights is the performance I enjoyed most. I wonder why it's shorter than the LP version. Just the sight of Al Garth on fiddle puts me off Take It Easy and Already Gone. I'm tired of Hotel California and Life In The Fast Lane is the best of the small pool of Eagles up-tempo rockers.
Heartache Tonight. retains my vote. Don't like the sax. Don't like Glenn's vocals.
I can understand why Take It To The Limit has been shortened, since Glenn started singing it and also Already Gone to some degree but, as far as I know, the live version of One Of These Nights has always been shorter than the album version.
I wonder which version Felder and the tribute acts perform?
Without the intro, I think Smuggler's Blues live is a little shorter than the original version too.
Maybe they thought the original recordings were too long.
I honestly don't know if I can vote now.......
oh ok
