Good for Timmy!
"They will never forget you 'till somebody new comes along"
1948-2016 Gone but not forgotten
Edit: Shoot, the organization does not list Timothy as one of the performers. I was happy to see he'd be there, but frankly a little surprised. I will check with them. http://cmhof.org/events/poco-firefal...itty-dirt-band
Cool for Timothy and Poco
Being an Eagles fan you kinda have to have a little interest in Poco, due to Randy and Tim but I'd question the relevance of Poco beyond being a feeder band for Eagles high harmony bass players.
If George has committed to appear at the induction, I suppose that makes Tim's attendance more likely. The last time he performed with Poco, it was only down to the fact that George would be performing too.
What about Randy?
What about all the other members and former members of Poco?

Will it be a farce if they're all inducted?
Will it be a farce if they pick and choose who receives the honour and who doesn't and who decides?
I'd like to see them all perform together. I'm just not sure what song they'd do, ideally Tim leading a performance of Keep On Trying but I really haven't a clue.
Maybe Tim will show up only if Randy's there too. Wouldn't that be great!
These continual awards things are just tiresome establishment crap. There was a time when the Eagles were relevant and didn't bother turning up for these industry awards jollies.
But if Tim's got nothing else on, I suppose it's worth getting out of bed for
I think that characterizing them as merely a feeder band for the Eagles is unfair. Even though I was too young to be aware of it at the time, I'm under the impression that Poco was actually a pretty influential band in the early '70s. They created a unique type of music that was much admired by other bands, critics and fans who loyally went to their live shows over and over, here and in Europe (including some of our own Borderers). Their status in country rock history seems pretty well-cemented now, and the TBS and Randy element does add a side note, but not anything substantive, to that legacy.
Agreed - no idea how they'll handle the induction. No way would they include Randy. I would think it's mainly to honor Richie. I would be surprised if Timothy makes it.
It would really be cool if he made it though. I always got the impression that Timothy and Richie were close, sort of like Richie was a mentor to Tim. I'm sure there are those on the board who know way more about it than me. If it's to honor Richie, maybe that will be enough for him to go.
Well, looks like it is confirmed that our boy WILL be there! Yay!
