I received a surprise present from a colleague today. It's a mug with my name on one side and a picture of the Eagles (1994 vintage) on the other. She didn't have a clue who they were or if she'd got the right people (she's young!) but she remembered how excited I was when I got the tickets for the Toronto concert and she had it made up for me.
Well the kids have pretty much grown up on it, though my daughter is a bit of a rebel heading into the Taylor Swift camp occasionally! But DARE I say that I'm going to see the Eagles and NOT bringing them.........
The now 9 year old son loves them, particularly the ballads. He would hate to miss the concert.
UTW, I love that present. I love to get a gift which someone has put some thought into and really matched up to me

T&H, you have an awesome boyfriend! He really 'gets' it! You have trained him well!
I don't recall my family or anyone getting me any Eagles related gifts! I usually buy what I want anyway, so they probably figure I already have it!
UTW, very awesome friend, too!

I got the Party Plane shirt from my daughter, the Eagles hoodie from my son, and a tour book from 1978 from my hubby. He also framed my ticket and an ad with a picture from the Timothy concert we went to last year. Several years ago he gave me an autographed picture and on the back were taped tickets to a concert. This was the Farewell1 tour. My family knows me well.
My best friend is sending me this shirt (among others) as my Xmas present - she was running a bit late this year, lol. I think it is most excellent!

I didn't get any Eagles-related gifts this year. My family used to give me Eagles gifts a lot, but they figured out that I usually already had most of the things they bought me. I did cheat a little this year and ended up buying myself a little something though. I took my niece to a record store that has a lot of the old vinyls, and found a few gems for myself - I got Glenn's 'No Fun Aloud' album, as well as Joe's 'The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get', Randy's 'One More Song', and Poco's 'From the Inside'. I don't really even collect vinyls, but for a buck apiece, I figured I couldn't go wrong.
