    Default Eagles and the movies.

I was reading somewhere on the board that Don sang, "Sit Down, You're Rocking the Boat" from Leap of Faith. I didn't know he sung that or I didn't pay attention to his voice when I first saw the movie. When I went back to watch the movie, show nuff. It was Don.

I was thinking what other songs did any of the Eagles(not counting their songs, but the songs they sing by themselves) sing on a movie soundtrack.

I know Glenn did The Heat is On for Beverly Hills Cops. I didn't know that Glenn sang Flip City in Ghostbusters II(I guess I didn't pay attention to his voice either). I remembered reading somewhere that Timothy did a song in the movie Cry-Baby, but of course he sang for the actor. What other movies did the guys lend their voices too.

Timothy, Joe, and Don Felder each had songs on the Fast Times at Ridgemont High Soundtrack. Also, Life in the Fast Lane is on the soundtrack.

Felder had two songs on a film called Heavy Metal (animated? - never seen it.)

Great topic! I'll mention one for each of the four current members ...

Glenn is on the Thelma and Louise soundtrack with 'Part of Me, Part of You'.

Don is on the Leaving Las Vegas soundtrack with 'Come Rain or Come Shine'.

Joe is on the Urban Cowboy soundtrack with 'All Night Long'.

Tim is on the Cry Baby soundtrack with 'Sh Boom' and 'Mr. Sandman'.

Of course, the Eagles are also on the Urban Cowboy soundtrack with 'Lyin' Eyes' and they also back up Boz Scaggs on 'Look What You've Done To Me'.

I think Soda has a list of all the soundtrack appearances on each member's site in the solo discography section, but it's fun to have this topic here as well.

    Thanks, IABAD and MaryCalifornia.

CryBaby is actually my favorite movie. It was some years ago that I found out Timothy sang Sh Boom and Mr. Sandman. I guess you can watch so many movies that you don't pay attention to who sings it especially when you weren't a fan of their music.

Yes, I do have soundtrack pages for all of the guys... would it spoil the fun if I linked to them?

These are just songs that were written originally for movies. They don't include soundtracks that used songs the Eagles or the guys had already recorded. It also doesn't include music that was used in the movie, but not put on an official soundtrack.

    Glenn's Soundtrack Appearances

    Don Henley's Soundtrack Appearances

    Timothy B. Schmit's Soundtrack Appearances

    Joe Walsh's Soundtrack Appearances

    Don Felder's Soundtrack Appearances

    Randy Meisner's Soundtrack Appearances

[Bernie doesn't have any that I know of]
