Had some jackfruit for my morning snack. Not nearly as tasty as I remembered. Had to scarf down some oyster crackers to get the nasty taste out.
Well I had decided to bring my now teenage 'kids' for a picnic today as it was forecast to be the hottest day of the year as well as the longest! But I woke up to the sound of a downpour so thats the picnic gone. I'll have to think.....

Listening to some Spotify and chilling out. Listening to some songs from TLR.
I'm in a study room in my college's library, reading the last two acts of a 17th century play for my Brit Lit class. (This is our third and final play.) I'll probably be in this room doing schoolwork until the library closes at 7pm.

Pondering: there is no diplomatic way to tell a co-worker that she wears waaayyy too much perfume. So much that it makes yer eyes water. Can't do it. Have to suffer in silence.
That is tricky. I remember once I was sitting in my office with the door open, with my seat being quite a way into my office. Someone walked past me, and a few seconds later this huge waft of perfume wafted over me. It really can be overpowering.
EDIT: Looking back further: 17th century plays, Jackfruit eating (I've always wondered what it's like), etc. Interesting things we're up to.
I do like picnics. It's been ages since we had a proper one with interesting food. Rather than just sandwiches.
If you're ever in downtown Miami, there is an Indonesian restaurant (Bali Cafe) that makes jackfruit ice cream - it's really good. However, I can't recommend unadulterated jackfruit for your picnic But wait, I'm talking to an adventurous guy who would consider a Gambian pouch rat for a pet! You may like it.
I've got a tin of sweet jackfruit at home which I bought intending to try. But, I never did. I hope it's still within it's best before date.
EDIT: The Jackfruit had a sell-by date of December 2017, so I've tried it. It's OK, but I prefer both mango and pineapple. The Jackfruit has quite a mild flavour and a smooth texture. Is fresh jackfruit more distinctively flavoured?
I ended up eating it with some fake ice-cream. Which was OK, but I can't see the reason to buy it when I can buy fresh mango chunks.
