I know I haven't been in here in ages, so I'm trying to catch up a little bit
VA, I'm so happy for you, that you aren't under the pressure of finding a new job ASAP, plus it's always better to have a job when you're out looking!

As for me, I've just been busy working & in my time off I was at my pool, & saw a few shows.

Get this one, my boyfriend booked us a room at the Revel in Atlantic City for Sept 6th with tickets to see Don Felder in the 5th row, but what happens....The REVEL Shuts down on Labor Day, so to compensate us they gave him all the money back & gave us the Felder tickets for free & a free room at another hotel for the night. Only one problem, the hotel they book us in didn't get very good write ups & I didn't want to stay there, so we ended up not going, & the tickets went to waste. I felt bad because Jason had the best intent when he booked this, but hey we had no control over the Revel closing. It's really a shame because it was really a beautiful hotel, as those of us who stayed there 2 years ago & saw the Eagles there will remember.

In any case, I will be going to NY shows & hope to see everyone who's coming at the after party on Sat night.
Really looking forward to it.
Also have tix for Thurs night, but may sell them, not sure yet.
Anyway, see some of you Sat night!! Can't wait !!

My life very much revolves around my new school at the moment and I really like it there. I'm happy the orientation part is finally over and we're getting down to the actual business. We've even started the practical lesson which are fun. So today I spent my schoolday washing my hands and putting on gloves and protective clothing.

I hope I haven't missed anyone!

It's been kind of crazy here. My grandma/stepgrandpa's dog died and it's been rough for the family as they were super close to her and so it's kind of put a down mood on things as of late.

This week has been hectic too. I go Friday for my pulmonary function and spirometry testing - the good news is that I'll have my results the same day and no more waiting by the phone for answers. I also have blood drawn to check for any possible problems with that and my lungs. My birthday is this weekend and I'm going to be spending it with my mom/dad and grandma/stepgrandpa. Should be fun.

Ausfest is the following weekend it's always busy trying to get all of our ducks in a row - it gets bigger every year. I love it though and I love any chance I get to rock out and have fun - it's one of the few things I enjoy and can do with my health. My hope is to someday get back to being able to move around like Angus Young onstage, but right now it's just not happening with the fatigue and breathlessness.

I've just been to a meeting with my Mom's doctor and health care advocate, along with my sister and one brother. She is becoming more forgetful and hasn't been taking her meds and insulin properly. It was a pretty rough meeting, especially for Mom, as they also told her she couldn't drive her car anymore either. So, my sister has agreed to take care of her if she will move to her town about 20 miles away. She doesn't work outside the home and thinks she has time to do it. It will be a big job for her and we are thankful she is willing and I'm glad Mom won't have to go to a nursing home.

Brooke - I'm so sorry for your mom having to lose her independence, but it's wonderful that your sister can care for her.

VA - sorry you have to deal with that.

It's been very busy at work and with the family these last few weeks, so apologies that I have not been on as much as usual. But I do think of everybody a lot and hope that everyone is doing well.

However now I am in Dublin Airport waiting to board my NYC flight to see the boys in concert tomorrow night.

Got good news this morning, another of my employees was able to get another job at our company! Yesterday, I found that another of my employees may be extended. I'm very glad about this as this is the stuff that's been keeping me awake at night.
