Love the photos, Nancy! You're right - South Africa is a country of contrasts, for sure.

I kind of gathered that by the look on your face. How heavy is a snake like that?
He sings it high, he plays it low

Great pics Nancy - glad you had a fun and safe trip to Africa!!! I don't care much for snakes either.. My dad has a severe phobia of them. I have my own phobia that I'm more scared of than snakes (and it's another type of creature). My mom's phobia is spiders. I'm not saying what mine is cuz I'll be called a chicken.

I'm also terrified of spiders. Not fond of snakes either but I could probably handle that one...not necessarily on me though!

I held a python once and loved it! Weirdly, I've never been freaked out by snakes. I'm more scared of daddy-longlegs! lol.

I love your pics of Jo'burg, Nancy. Cities are fascinating. I love seeing them from above.

Haha no.. It's a certain rodent that shares it's name with a piece of computer hardware.. And it's big brother gives me even more creeps. Dare not say their names, lol.

I don't know for sure - he felt pretty heavy though. Maybe 100 pounds (since he was hanging around me I didn't have to lift him).
