I'm with MV, as I said in the other thread. I saw the photo before the caption and I thought "Who's that?"
Good ole Vince Gill. He's one of my favorite country singers. I think those two should do a duet or something instrumental. Vince can play a mean electric guitar just like Joe.
I didn't know Vince was an Eagles fans. Then I also remembered he did sing on Common Thread album back in 1994. He did a great job with I Can't Tell You Why.
I think I remembered watching in 2007 because that's when I heard the Eagles were going to sing on the show, but its a been a long time since I watched the CMAs. I use to love to watch the CMAs when Vince was the host. I think 2007 was his last year as host.
And this just in from Joe at halftime with Roy Orbison Jr.
Wow, what a huge picture there! Great!
Have to say I love Vince Gill, too. Back in the 90's when he first became popular in country music I loved his songs. Wonderful voice! And I've heard other stars comment on his guitar playing. He was also frontman in the band Pure Prairie League in the 70's! He's married to former Christian artist Amy Grant.
This I didn't know till looking it up on Wikipedia (Freypower will be interested):
"Mark Knopfler once invited Gill to join Dire Straits, but Gill declined the offer (although he sang backup on Dire Straits' album On Every Street)."
Give a listen to my favorite song from Vince:

Ok, back to Joe! Sorry if I got a bit carried away there about Vince!

Yep. I think it was after he left Pure Prairie League and I think he was well into his solo career in the 80s. Everybody wanted Vince to play on their album or in this case. Join their band.
I think Vince and Joe should do a duet together. Heck if its just playing on each other albums. Vince, the best country picker and Joe, the best rock and roll picker. I would definitely buy the album.
I'd totally buy a Vince/Joe album in a heartbeat. Vince played a solo on one of Alice Cooper's last records. Need I say more?! LOL. And he played the guitar on School's Out in Nashville at a sports game with him.
He's a hell of a guitarist. Regardless of the vocals, I think he's a great all around guitar player, which is why I like Nashville so much - it's guitar town.

I would actually love for Vince to sing a duet with Don. Now I think that would be good duet. I think I read somewhere that Timothy sang background on Vince's version of I Can't Tell You Why.
I think any Eagles he can have a duet with. Vince blends soo well with everybody.
