Might I make a suggestion??
For Christmas, I got this "charging wallet".
Its a leather wristlet and has a packet that holds a battery that when fully charged will charge my phone twice from dead.
We lose power around here a lot in all seasons so I keep that charged and I am ready to go. Once charged it holds it for a year.
When we had a family emergency I through it in my bag and out the door I went knowing I could charge twice.

Snowing since 10 am, and it's still going steady, with at least 4-5 inches so far. At least there's no harsh winds to go with it, so it's not all that bad!

I feel guilty for being annoyed that I had to scrape ice off my car today! Obviously, there are a lot of folks who have it much worse.

We had sleet & a little bit of snow last night & early this morning. It is clearing now but since it is still below freezing the roads & freeways are still icy. The schools are closed & the city of Houston is basically shut down. Even my boss called & told me to not come in until later.

Snowing again here now. They said 1 inch...no way, It's going to be a lot more. At least today was warm enough to actually walk around without freezing my ass off!

This is a family message board, so I'm forbidden to post what I really think of this weather...
ETA: I just called my brother back in Somerset, today's his birthday, so when I asked what he was doing, I was expecting a good answer, like 'getting ready to go out for dinner'. Instead I got, "driving in a *bleep*ing blizzard. There are people in ditches everywhere and the guy in front of me just ran into a utility pole." Needless to say, we got off the phone quickly, since he was pulling over to make sure the guy was OK. I'm betting he'll spend his birthday night pulling people out of snowdrifts because that's the kind of guy he is. Is it any wonder I don't live there any more?
