You have a long trip, Soda. Please drive carefully!
No texting and driving at the same time! I can't believe people do that!

Loved reading that, Soda. Just wish I'd been with you!
you better put it all behind you, baby, 'cause life goes on
you keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside--
Back safe!
Yes, which will fade in approximately 2 weeks to no more than the occasional mere hint of an accent that you're used to hearing from me. Some of the idioms are harder to shake, however, especially if one is taken by surprise. I will never stop exclaiming "Shoot!" and "Dang it!" at moments of high agitation. lol
And Brooke - I was NOT texting while driving! I was stopped at the time! Willie, I don't know why you got that text so late. I didn't send it that late.
Wow , Soda! I got excited when you said that you spotted the sign for Linden. It's great that you even got to drive through it!
Glad to hear that you are home safe & sound .
Welcome home, Nanc. That is cool that you stopped in Linden. I'm surprised you didn't strike up a little conversation about Mr. Henley with the nice gentleman at the gas station. Maybe he coulda told you a story or two.

I have to admit I was embarrassed to bring up Don Henley to a local. He would immediately realize I was stopping at a Linden gas station solely because Don was from there and I might have been the recipient of an eye roll. lol
I was visiting with a freind from work today, & her husband was telling us about the heavy demands of the job that he had before he retired a couple of years ago. He said "it was life in the fast lane". I don't know if he was aware where that saying came from, but it reminded me how the title of that song has truly become part of everyday language.
Hey Soda, what a brilliant story about stopping in Linden. Its great that you managed to see the town, or at least pass through it! And I'm glad you DIDN'T get a speeding ticket!
Willie! I love your hubby's reaction to Soda's text. I'd say mine would be the same.
On the way UP to Belfast a few weeks ago we saw a truck embossed with 'James Deane Transport' while on the way down the following day just after the Eagles gig we were driving behind a car with number plate BBF 689. Led us to wonder had the owner been as 'BBF' as we were the previous evening.

Great stories girls!
We saw at the trainstation in Arnhem a poster with No More Cloudy Days.
But it was raining and we said like "No More Cloudy Days NOW!" didn't work either.
