Default things that remind you of the Eagles

Oh my, 2 posts in a row for me! Of course it's been a few days and everyone else has been busy with Christmas and our family celebrated early, so I've had more time to watch TV. This morning I caught a character telling someone to "get over it". Of course it wasn't quite the same as hearing Don Henley doing it, but it was still cool. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

I love hearing song titles here and there. My 4-year-old nephew received a "Fast Lane" toy car... and of course the opening riff popped right into my head!

My mother and I hit the after-Christmas sales yesterday, and as we were buying half-price Christmas decorations to use next year, I heard a familiar voice and "Boys of Summer" came on the store's music system. I laughed because the store next door was still playing "Please Come Home for Christmas," so I went from Don singing about the holidays to Don singing about summertime in less than five minutes!

Having had the best part of a week of turkey today we decided to go to Eddie Rockets. The Juke Box had 'River of Dreams' as an option . Unfortunately however it was Billy Joel's song not Glenn 's

I don't know how many times I've driven down 'Glendown Road' to get to my parents house. I'd vertainly noted the Glenn connection, but today my 6 year old commented 'Glendown - that sounds just like Glenn and Don put together'.

Good one, GA! Did you know the official Eagles Touring Company address is on Glendon Road? Do you think they chose that deliberately?
