According to this site, the name "Henley" is English and derives from the dominant family who lived in a town called Henley in ancient Anglo-Saxon times. Eventually this family became "Lords of the Manor of Henley" in Somerset and produced barons and earls, who dropped it down to just "Baron Henley" etc.
As the family expanded, branches moved away and formed towns in England such as Henley-on-Thames where the Henley Royal Regatta is held, and Henley-in-Arden (which happens to be on the other end of the Henley Street in Stratford-upon-Avon, and is from whence the street derived its name).
So, our Don Henley descends (admittedly distantly) from English nobility. Not bad!
I have heard him mention once in an interview that "The Henleys came from England." I'd be more than willing to have him back! Love your pictures, Soda!
you better put it all behind you, baby, 'cause life goes on
you keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside--
Hard to believe a good ol' boy from Texas has family who originates from England!

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
You can see my photo of the Birthplace on Facebook. I didn't take photos of the Henley St signs when I was there in 2010. We weren't there very long. I love the place & try to go there whenever I return to England.
FP, may I say, I love your sig!

LOL, I didn't realize that I have been on Henley St.
I was just doing a crossword puzzle & one of the clues was The Heat _ _. It didn't take me long to fill in that one!
That one's got me stumped, GL!

I pulled a catalog out of a drawer at work...from a company called Frey Scientific...I think I giggled through the rest of my planning period about it
