That certainly reminded me of Niagara Falls as I was reading it, FP!

I'm the same way, WE. Joni sure knew what she was writing about at the time. These lyrics especially remind me of young Glenn ...

    'Cause you're a rambler and a gambler
And a sweet talking ladies man
    And you love your lovin'
But not like you love your freedom.

Yeah, that first line struck me the other day when I remembered that Glenn sang backup on "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man."

SOOOOOO true! Imagine knowing him back then? I'd say even kryptonite would not have brought him down!

Yeah, I don't think he was exactly ready for commitment then.

I've been sitting up waiting for my Sugar to show
I've been listening to the sirens and the radio
He said he'd be over three hours ago
I've been waitin' for his car on the hill

Wonder how long Joni waited for his car on a hill before she said "Screw this! I don't care how sexy and charming and talented he is - it's over!" <--- we need one of these with Glenn's 70s hairdo lol

We have a toll road plaza close by that has a McDonald's, Dairy Queen a couple other shops in. A lot of the high school & college kids work there including one of my daughter's best friends. The McDonald's is having a McIdol contest for the next several weeks which my daughter's friend is one of the judges at. Katie went out last night to check it out. I received a text from her saying: "Some older guy is ROCKING 7 Bridges Road right now".
He sings it high, he plays it low

Very cool, GL. I wish we had one of those in my town. I have a feeling I'd be a regular. I remember when Soda and I were making plans for the Fallsview trip last August, we checked to see if there was an On the Border in Niagara Falls or Toronto. We thought it would be neat if the group went to one for lunch or dinner in honor of how we all came together, but we couldn't find one.

That would have been really cool, Dreamer. I'd be a regular if I lived near one too! I didn't get a chance to eat at this one. I'll make a point of trying it next time.
