I posted about this in Keith Urban's forum, but I'll put it here, too.
Last night at the People's Choice Awards, Keith won favorite male artist. In his acceptance speech he mentioned something to the effect that he didn't care how people got the music, even if they illegally downloaded it, it got out there!Made me think of Don!

Wow! If he said that to Don I think he would get a "stern talking-to" about how he should be more supportive of Artists' Rights.

We had to take Dillon back to school today and on the way home we were listening to the Jets/Bengals game on the radio and heard a Head & Shoulders commercial with Troy Palamalu from the Steelers. His voice is very low and soft and reminds me of someone and apparently my husband also. Here is the conversation that was had about it.
Willie: "I like his voice."
Larry: "His voice reminds me of that guy from the Eagles. The 'other guy'?
Willie: "Who?"
Larry: "You know who I'm talking about."
Willie: "No, who?"
Larry: "Don't act like that."
Willie: "Just say his name, Larry!"
Larry: "Timothy, Willett!"
After 21 years of marriage, we are still childish at times!

One of the local restaurants/clubs periodically sends out E-mails to its patrons who subscribe. The E-mails advertise the upcoming bands & each one asks a musical trivia question, where the winner gets a gift certificate for the restaurant. I answer each question but haven't won anything. This is the question that was asked in the E-mail today:
"Which Eagles member reached #2 on the charts with the song "The Heat is On" from the movie "Beverly Hill's Cop"?"
Hmmm, I'm going to have to look that one up
While I'm typing this there is a story on the news about an Olympic skier who survived "Life In The Fast Lane". They've used the phrase twice.

On the way home yesterday I saw a licence plate 378 EGL .. and on the way to Jenni's school, we pass a pretty seedy looking tavern called The Eagle. I'd be tempted to go in for a drink if there weren't several large Harley's out front. I may try and get a picture of it next time we go by.
