I was browsing in HMV on Saturday when I saw the Box Set of dvds for 'Desperate Housewives'. One season was billed as the 'Dirty Laundry' edition.

This might sound weird...but CHRISTMAS reminds me of the Eagles! Especially 'cause their Please Come Home for Christmas album tops my charts on best 1970's Christmas Songs/Albums
They are just too awesome.
Welcome Joanne! I like the way you think!
He sings it high, he plays it low
TWICE last night while watching tv shows. I don't usually watch that much tv but we are having some AWFUL weather and Larry decided to bring home dinner and we just curled up and watched tv and vegged last night. I wasn't really paying attention to the movie Larry was watching when I heard the first reference, but the character said "I always live my life in the fast lane", and I caught it. The second reference was at the very end of a Bones episodes, they show a piece of paper where someone has written "Heart of the Matter" on it.

I was looking at some old mix tapes I made while I was in high school that I found in my closet... songs I taped off the radio. Among them were:
Smuggler's Blues
You Belong to the City
All She Wants to Do Is Dance
Boys of Summer
The End of the Innocence
Not Enough Love in the World
Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough
Sunset Grill
Best of My Love
Heartache Tonight
I Can't Tell You Why
Lyin' Eyes
The Sad Cafe
Take It Easy
Take It to the Limit
And yet I didn't even know some of these were songs by the Eagles (although I did know who Glenn and Don were). Such humble beginnings! lol
That freakin' cracks me up Soda!!!

I have been listening to a lot of audio books lately, they're entertaining when Im doing my domestic goddesss stuff. I have been listening to The 39 Clues series. It's a great series for kids but pretty entertaining for anyone. In the 4th book one of the main characters is talking about a hotel in Cairo that turns out to be a secret hide out and she says "You can check out, but you can never leave!" LOL I got so excited about this I shouted out "HEY! Hotel California!" Cliff and Sarah thought I was nuts, but that's nothing new.
Good for you, ticky in keeping the enthusiasm alive!!!

I used to do that too Nancy, and I remember 'The Heat Is' On featuring in quite a few of them!
Earlier tonight I was channel flicking and came across a programme called 'The Last Resort'
