Got this photo (among others) in an email and I can't see a guitar without thinking of The Eagles.....too cute not to share.

"They will never forget you 'till somebody new comes along"
1948-2016 Gone but not forgotten
This was both interesting and maddening all in one! This morning bright and early hubby and I were heading into the city and on the radio they were talking about today's rock birthdays. Of course they mentioned Timothy B Schmit and said he has just put out a new book about his experiences with the Eagles. Say what? Larry looked at me and asked why I hadn't gotten it yet. I told him because there isn't one that they must be confusing it with the new cd. He asked if I was sure? Well duh, don't you think if there was a new book I (and all of us here) would know? I proceeded to try to call the radio station and set them straight but never did get thru before we made it to where we were going and I was unable to.
He sings it high, he plays it low
Don't you hate that when people (especially the media) get facts wrong about our guys ?
Wow, that is a blatant error! Too bad you couldn't get through to correct them.

And I dream I'm on vacation 'Cause I like the way that sounds,
It's a perfect occupation for me.
My cousin and her hubby are going to see the Oklahoma City Thunder play the LA Lakers tonight and they were asking me what the arena is like since i've been to a few basketball games and concerts there at the Ford Center. Somehow I ended up comparing their seats to an Eagles concert...go figure. They got the picture anyway. I think there's some kind of subconscious impulse to bring up the Eagles in any conversation. I'm not alone in that, am I?

Stranded "on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see."
Yesterday I was watching Peoples Court and the voiceover was a guy breifly summing up the next case about a tennant suing her landlord. In a dramatic half-whispering voice he says, " This is the case of...The Heat Is Off!"

Watching Charley Boorman on TV. He just mentioned riding in a "flat-bed Ford"

you keep carrying that anger, it'll eat you up inside--
Another TV reference... I was watching Judge Judy earlier (ssshh! I've got flu!) and she suggested that the defendant should go and 'do some soul searchin''.
